Just before 11 am the Pioneers along with mutual aide were alerted for a house fire on Timothy Lane in Ephrata Borough. As units were going en route LCWC advised PD was on scene reporting a “fully involved” house, Deputy 16 (Gehman) arrived shortly after reporting fire from the roof of a 2-1/2 story single family dwelling. Engine 15-1 along with the crews from Rescue 16 and Engine 12-2 and 35-1 made an interior attack, knocking down a bedroom fire and opening up to extinguish the fire in the attic. Crews operated on scene for just over 2 hours, the cause is still under investigation by the State Police Fire Marshal. The Pioneers were assisted by crews from Lincoln, Akron, Farmersville, Reamstown, Denver, Garden Spot Fire-Rescue, Lititz, Martindale and the air unit from Reinholds along with EMS from Ephrata.
