At approximately 1:12 am Wednesday morning units from Ephrata and Lincoln were alerted for a chimney fire on South State St in Ephrata Borough. Crews arrived to find sparks and flames from the chimney and a light smoke condition inside. Units from both companies worked for several hours to clear a heavily clogged chimney and ventilate the residence.
